Queso de Papa is a mild cheddar-style cheese with a longhorn shape. It is often served with crackers, salchichón, salami, or by itself. The legend behind this cheese states that Queso de Papa was served and enjoyed by the Pope on a trip to Puerto Rico, thus receiving the name Queso de Papa which translates into cheese of the Pope.
